SOLACE NECKLACE

This necklace was inspired by the stained glass cathedral windows in Europe. With a combination of bead embroidery and beadweaving, some interesting techniques will be taught in this class.

The main component is dimensional, made by beading on many layers of beading foundation. The smaller components are bezelled with a stack bead bezel. The lower component is bead embroidery with a metal filigree base.

Add in the beadwoven neckchain and the completed necklace is a beautiful combination of color and texture. This necklace is easy to tailor to your liking by using all or just some of the components. You can also add some of your own beads to alter the look of the main component.

SECRET GARDEN CUFF

Knowing a few basic bead embroidery stitches is helpful for this project, but not required. Whether you’re new to bead embroidery or have plenty of experience, you’ll pick up some useful techniques in this class.

The cuff’s center cabochon is set on a gold lace flower and surrounded by layered beadwork. The whole element is raised slightly on the cork foundation using additional layers of beading foundation, giving it a bit of dimension without adding weight. A floral cording detail runs along the cuff like a simple trellis, accented with beads, and a gold cord finishes both edges. Three colorways are available.

Even with all its detail, this cuff is lightweight, comfortable to wear, and works up more quickly than you might expect.

DESTINY NECKLACE

This pretty necklace has an open design giving it a light and elegant look.

Bead embroidery and bead weaving will be combined for the components, then they are joined with small chain. Students will be bezeling cabochons in a few different ways.

Metal filigree, chains, various cabochons, shaped beads, crystals and lots of seed beads! Can’t go wrong!!

Madeline Necklace

4-6 HOUR CLASS

Several layers of mini gem duos create this necklace, adding a lot of dimension!

It is partly bead weaving and partly bead embroidery. A strip of beads is woven and attached to the bead embroidery surrounding the main component on the pendant, creating an interesting edge.

The neck chain is bead woven, again layering mini gem duos in a modified component. There is a bead woven clasp.

ISABELLA CUFF BRACELET

The base of this cuff is a Jacquard ribbon- giving the cuff the illusion of an intricate piece of beadwork without all the work! The centerpiece is raised by layering beading foundation, adding a nice 3d effect.

Several techniques will be introduced, but this project is easy enough for anyone that can thread the needle. If cuffs aren’t your thing, the center component can easily be converted to a stunning brooch or pendant.

GARDEN BLOOM NECKLACE

This lovely necklace is designed to be a comfortable, wearable size while still giving you plenty of techniques to explore. In this class, you’ll build a dimensional pendant using a lace leaf, polymer‑clay components, cabochons, and a variety of shaped beads. You’ll also learn three different edging styles that frame the elements and bring depth and texture to the finished piece.

With the pendant complete, we’ll shift to the coordinating neck strap. You’ll combine seed beads, gold accents, glass pearls, and round crystals to create a balanced, elegant chain that complements the focal beautifully. Each section is approachable, and the steady rhythm of the pattern makes it a relaxing project to stitch.

This class is ideal for confident beginners and experienced beaders alike. If you enjoy designs that build dimension step by step and let you play with color and texture, you’ll feel right at home. You’ll leave with a finished necklace and a set of techniques you can carry into future projects.

OPULENCE NECKLACE

this necklace starts with a quick and easy way to bezel a czech button, giving the main component an interesting texture. Different czech buttons will be available to substitute if desired.

The smaller bead embroidered component is repeated throughout the necklace. A pretty woven neck chain and a beaded toggle clasp complete the necklace.

CELESTE NECKLACE

ADVANCED BEGINNER

This beaded necklace is beautiful as well as easy to make. It combines bead weaving and bead embroidery. You will be able to choose a cabochon from Mikaela’s wonderful collection, and surround it with a unique bezel. Metal filigrees to the top and bottom of it add a vintage appearance, and the tiny flowers and crystals add to the romance. The collar of this necklace is embroidered onto cork fabric and finished off with a beadwoven chain, embellished with crystals and backlit beads. This class will cover lots of interesting techniques and many options for modifying it to make it your own.

WHAT'S YOUR POINT? NECKLACE

Bead embroidery forms this smallish pendant necklace. It uses 2 different bezel techniques, and mixes several sizes and shapes of beads. A woven neck chain completes the necklace.

SOCIAL BUTTERFLY NECKLACE

A vintage glass intaglio butterfly cabochon is at the center of this lovely necklace. The ultrasuede beneath it determines the color- attached without glue beneath the glass- so the color shines through clearly. An embroidered motif is at each side, embellished with beadwork. The neckchain has sparkles and small paisley duo butterflies. Some delicate looking chain forms the fringe below. Students will weave a bezel for the cabochon separately, then attach it to the ultrasuede to hold the cabochon without gluing it. Other things covered in class: a chain fringe, embellishing an embroidered flower trim, weaving a neck chain with butterflies, making a bead woven toggle clasp.

Several bead embroidery techniques are used in this asymmetric necklace as well as incorporating some unusual materials- including metal purl and woven cording.

The visual centerpiece is a beautiful vintage glass white flower. But bead embroidery is not the only technique used. A beadwoven neck chain is woven with triangle beads interspersed with seed beads. Of course there are crystals too- adding some sparkle.

CARNIVALE NECKLACE

Combining bead weaving and bead embroidery, this lacy necklace has something for everyone. The layered bezel adds a wonderful dimension to this piece that compliments the lacy neck chain.

Each colorway features a different masked woman cabochon.

Instructions will be given for modifying this piece so any level of beader can enjoy finishing it without stress!

GAIA NECKLACE

WHETHER YOU HAVE NEVER DONE BEAD EMBROIDERY, OR YOU ARE AN OLD PRO- YOU ARE SURE TO LEARN A FEW NEW TECHNIQUES WITH THIS NECKLACE. THIS PROJECT IS NOT DIFFICULT BUT GIVES YOU A BEAUTIFULLY INTRICATE PIECE OF JEWELRYWHEN YOU ARE FINISHED. THE BOTTOM FOCAL PIECE IS A HANDMADE POLYMER CLAY LEAF CABOCHON COATED WITH RESIN, MIMICKING THE LOOK OF DICHROIC GLASS.

AFTER THE PENDANT IS FINISHED, YOU WILL ADD THE UNUSUAL FRINGE AND CHAIN, CREATED WITH A WHOLE BUNCH OF MINI DUOS. BOTH CABOCHONS WILL BE BEZELED WITH TWO DIFFERENT TECHNIQUES, THEN THE ROUND CABOCHON WILL BE EMBELLISHED IN A SPIRAL PATTERN. THAT SPIRAL IS REFLECTED IN THE VARIOUS STITCHES SURROUNDING THE CABOCHONS.

THE WOVENNECK CHAIN AND FRINGE ARE AN EASY BUT UNUSUAL TECHNIQUE. WE WILL ALSO BE DISCUSSING HOW TO MAKE A FRINGE THAT HANGS CORRECTLY FROM A POINTED COMPONENT.

TWILIGHT NECKLACE

Embroidered on cork fabric, this small collar is a very comfortable and wearable size- but still packs a big punch! As an unusual addition- a round bead embroidered, dimensional piece is fitted into the cutout at the center of the collar with a lacy beaded pattern.

Against the dark background, the combination of matte backlit beads and sparkly crystals really pop. It is finished off with a woven neck chain and toggle clasp. A fun project for all levels!
