The Making of a Beaded Necklace
First, the cabochons (flat backed stones) are glued to a stiff backing.
A beaded bezel is made around each stone to further secure it.
Then, each tiny bead is sewn to the backing to cover the whole background.
When this is finished, the backing is cut to the desired shape and
size.
The leather is then trimmed flush with the backing material.
A beaded edging is added, both as decoration and to better
attach the 2 pieces together.
Lastly, the fringe, extra trim, neck strap and clasp are added
The finished necklace!
